Why recyclable bags are the future
Today, recyclable films and bags are becoming more mainstream. As the planet is under increasing pressure from waste, and consumer demand for greener options is driving countries to focus on waste and recycling issues and find viable solutions.
Common food and beverage bags are notoriously difficult to recycle, as most flexible packaging consists of multiple layers that are difficult to separate and recycle. However, JTD Packs and other suppliers are exploring removing certain layers from certain packaging, such as foil and PET (polyethylene terephthalate), to help improve recyclability. To further improve sustainability, today many suppliers are launching bags made from recycled PE-PE film, EVOH film, post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin and compostable film.
The material is softer than oil-based plastic films, meaning more material is required to achieve a rigid structure often required for pouch making
The JTD Pack is also supporting this movement. We are committed to research and production of recyclable composite bags, reusable or compostable packaging. At moment, the recyclable multilayers bags that we can make include: recyclable vacuum bags, recyclable stand-up bags, recyclable spouted nozzle bags, recyclable food bags, etc.

Disadvantages of recyclable composite bags:
The recyclable composite bag uses recyclable PE to replace the PET, PA, CPP, etc. of the outermost layer of the composite bag, so the barrier property is not as good as PA, the bag hardness is not as good as PET, and the high temperature resistance is not as good as CPP, so for the recyclable composite bag , our ordinary use is sufficient, but for high-performance food packaging, we still need EVOH or PVDC to combine together.
For recyclable composite bags, there is still a long way to go and perfection. But JTD pack will work together with everyone to make a more perfect recycled plastic pouches.
